The Power of Talk: Speaking, Listening and Writing in a Digital Age
The program will begin with keynote speaker Harvey “Smokey” Daniels who will present Speaking and Listening: The Power of Talk and Writing in Literature Circles. Following the keynote session, ten to twelve breakout sessions will address concerns of all the grade-bands on a variety of topics to improve the learning of students in writing, listening and speaking. These will be presented by Smokey Daniels, Illinois Writing Project teacher leaders, and expert teachers from DuPage County schools. Participants will have an opportunity to attend 2 breakout sessions.
