Drug Education
This class is part of the the Health & Physical Education Endorsement Series and focuses upon the development and evaluation of drug education curricula. Emphasis will be placed upon issues, techniques, and resources necessary for the health educator to positively impact and inform the school, community, and home environments. This course is designed to provide a historical background and understanding of the origins of drug use as well as current information about the use and abuse of common legal and illegal drugs. Content will also center on drug tolerance, withdrawal, medical uses, and the effects drugs have on the human body. * NOTE - Payment for TIDE/USF courses is a two-step process. The FIRST STEP is to register with TIDE and pay your registration fee. The SECOND STEP is to complete your registration with USF and pay the balance of your course fee. The link to the USF registration will be located in the “Additional Information” section of the TIDE registration form. You will NOT HAVE ACCESS to the course until you complete BOTH steps of this registration. It is requested that you complete both portions of the registration at least one month before the course start date.

No refund is offered to students withdrawing after the start of class. A $40.00 fee will be charged if cancellation is made seven or fewer working days prior to the first class. Full refunds are made when enrollment is not sufficient to offer the course.
