Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training provides adults who work with youth the skills to reach out, communicate effectively, provide initial support and connect them to appropriate care. This new 6.5 hour curriculum requires two hours of self-paced pre-work followed by a 4.5 hour virtual class on Zoom. Registration deadline is firm in order to secure an online seat and allow sufficient time for pre work. Pre-work must be completed in order to attend the training.
