Course # 985

Youth Mental Health First Aid for Train the Trainers
Youth Mental Health First Aid Train the Trainer is taught by a representative from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. This 3-day online course teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This Train the Trainer course provides adults who work with youth the skills to reach out, communicate effectively, provide initial support and connect them to appropriate care. In order to be certified to deliver the standard Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid course to others, participants must attend all 3 days, pass a short-written exam, and deliver the Mental Health First Aid Program three times a year to remain certified as a trainer.
