The Illinois Social Science Standards provide a pathway for students to engage in informed action to address compelling questions facing their community. Learn how to design and assess service learning projects, no field trip budget required! Walk away with free resources to support the new civics requirement and standards implementation. Explicit connections will be made to the Common Core State Standards, 21st Century Skills, Social Emotional Learning and the Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching. Participants are encouraged to bring technology and will have time to explore resources and apply learning Appropriate for grades K-12.
