Understanding and Implementing the New Illinois Social Science Standards
Out with the old and in with the new Illinois Social Science Standards. Participants will leave with an understanding of the unique and creative format for both the inquiry skills and disciplinary concepts portion of the standards, examples of implementation for various social science disciplines, and resources social science teachers can utilize while unpacking and aligning to the new standards. The afternoon portion of the workshop will consist of an Ed Camp allowing educators the opportunity to begin / continue the aligning process with assistance and guidance from other conference attendees and the presenters.
