Washington Aggression Interruption Training
Washington Aggression Interruption Training WAIT elementary version is a social-emotional learning program designed to assist youth with interpersonal skills, self-control in dealing with anger, and the process of problem solving. WAIT is an intensive and impactful intervention, designed to promote prosocial skills, improve anger control and reduce the frequency of acting out behaviors. In the weekly sessions, participants gain tools that allow them to solve problems, make decisions, and interact positively in social situations. The curriculum consists of three components: Social Skills Training, Anger Control Training, and Problem Solving. This training will be conducted by Nels C Nelson from NC Consulting who has a background in cognitive behavioral therapy, and has implemented evidence based programming in juvenile justice, social services, and school districts. A performance consultant and instructor to government and private sector agencies.

Attendance all four days is mandatory in order to be trained to implement the WAIT curriculum. Course Registration may be cancelled by the registered student no later than five days prior to the start of class.
