Assessment and the NGSS: How to Assess Three-dimensional Learning
Participants will 1. build an understanding of three-dimensional assessment through application of the Next Generation Science Standards 2. obtain greater knowledge of three-dimensional assessment that will support more effective assessment methods to better understand the level at which their students are understanding science concepts and 3. engage in tasks that will help them identify the three dimensions within an assessment and how they are used together to assess conceptual understanding. Assessment resources and tools that support evaluation of current assessments and creation of new assessment will also be used and discussed.
